We’ve never seen a sling-style cooler before, and we’re glad Pelican made one.
Earlier this summer, we journeyed out to Denver to get a first look at the thousands of new outdoor products that’ll be coming out next summer. One of the items that caught our attention was a new soft-sided cooler from Pelican, a company well known for its ultra-durable gear storage cases.
This particular cooler, the Dayventure Sling, comes in a form we’ve never seen before: a capsule-shaped cylinder with a shoulder strap for carrying (or, a sling, as its name explicitly states). It calls to mind a container that might be used to hold specimens on Mars. It probably could, too, given its sealed, leak-proof construction, high-density foam insulation and just-right size. Until Elon Musk gets us there, we’ll probably use it to tote around a 12-pack, or four bottles of wine, and some ice.
Even though Pelican just announced the Dayventure Sling, you can already snag one on Amazon.
